In Aledo, choir is offered starting in the 6th grade and continues through middle school and all four years of high school. We welcome students to join at any grade level but strongly encourage students to join in the sixth grade to develop a strong foundation that can be built upon throughout.
Aledo Middle Schools
We have two middle schools, Aledo Middle and McAnally Middle Schools. Both campuses are 6th-8th grade campuses. In Aledo's Middle School Choirs we focus first on providing a strong musical foundation by developing basic musical and performance skills in the 6th grade. In 7th and 8th grades we strive for a greater appreciation of music through more advanced techniques and performances. These choirs perform several times each year in area concerts, festivals, and contests. Both group and individual opportunities are offered to develop the students individual musicianship.

High School
The High School Choirs provide challenging opportunities for our students through difficult literature and even more demanding vocal techniques. Participation at the High School level includes Solo/Ensemble, TMEA auditions, U.I.L. concert and sight-reading competitions, Show Choir performances, and joint Fine Arts productions.
In addition to our local performance opportunities, our high school students have opportunities to participate in multiple over-night trips, retreats, and festival throughout the year.
